Churches, piazzas and narrow lanes are a reminder of the city's long history including a rich Roman heritage. A wonderful variety of restaurants, cafes, and bars along with excellent shopping makes Lucca a great city to visit.

Good connections to the freeway for touring. The A11/A12 freeways connect to the Florence, Pisa, Livorno, Genoa.

Day trips to Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena, Viareggio, Cinque Terre are possible via freeways, secondary roads and in some cases by rail and bus.
