The region lies on the eastern side of central Italy, between the Adriatic
Sea and the high Apennine mountains and much of it remains unspoilt with
relatively few tourists.
Le Marche is one of the most green, picturesque and most civilised corners of
Italy. It boasts two lovely Renaissance art towns (Urbino and Ascoli Picenzo),
beaches and rosy-brick towns in the valleys leading to the snowy peaks of the
Sibilline Mountains.
Le Marche is rich in historical and cultural heritage which has been well
preserved. The Sibillini mountain range and the Sibillini National Park provide
some of the most breathtaking scenery in central Italy. Also has a beautiful
coastline extending along the Adriatic sea.
